Meet Rebecca Rubinstein – thanks to her efforts, and the efforts of 35 other The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill volunteers, Impact Global Health Alliance is partnering with the Consulado General de Guatemala en Raleigh to provide COVID-19 education and response to families in unforgotten communities.
During college, Rebecca became interested in global health and sought to combine her interests in public health and the Spanish language. Today, she’s an MD/PhD student at UNC in the department of epidemiology. She hopes to one day work full-time conducting research on neglected diseases of poverty and treating patients in Central or South America.
When asked about her experience volunteering with Impact Global Health Alliance:
