This summer, Impact Global Health Alliance Global is excited to welcome four interns to our team! Our high school and college intern programs allow students to develop an understanding of the inner workings of an international nonprofit organization. Because each intern specifically designs their own unique program, students are able to gain experience in whatever field they are most passionate about. We are very proud of what our interns have already accomplished and are looking forward to working with them over these next few months!

Are you involved with any other humanitarian organizations?
At this time, no. I have worked in the past with Builders without Borders in Mexico as well as Samaritan’s Purse operating with both as a volunteer.
Why are you passionate about Impact Global Health Alliance Global?
Impact Global Health Alliance is doing what few organizations often do; they are teaching the local communities to become self-sufficient and provide their own services through the communities own health professionals. This provides a sustainable impact in the region as opposed to simply handing the locals supplies and trained professionals and doing the work for doing them. In the modern world, people have become too apathetic to developing communities.
How are you currently serving Impact Global Health Alliance Global?
My position gives me the opportunity to provide administrative assistance wherever necessary within the organization. More specifically, I have been given the responsibility of managing the medical, financial, and general databases of our volunteer lists as well as registering with the local embassies and applying for international insurance. I also am one of the many interns responsible for moderating and administering the social media outlets for Impact Global Health Alliance Global.
What are your long-term aspirations?
At some point, I would like to work in an administrative position within the Federal government. Currently, the department I am most interested in is the State Department.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy working with computers and technology while also keeping physically active by going to the gym.

As the Development and Communications intern, I am currently researching and applying for state and federal campaigns as well as state solicitation licenses. Additionally, I am creating several information pamphlets for potential donors and volunteers aspiring to fundraise for their expeditions. Along with several other interns, I update and maintain our various social media outlets including the Impact Global Health Alliance blog.
