You’re not wrong to feel nervous during these unsettling times. I am as well. In the news, in work-related virtual meetings and social gatherings, there is anxiety, fear, and at times, hopelessness because of the Coronovirus pandemic. I hear you. I get it. It is overwhelming.

So, what has helped me lead our mission forward through this time and keep positive?

First, having an attitude of gratefulness.

Gratitude goes far, especially during stressful times. When I think about our donors and supporters, all I feel is genuine, heartfelt thanksgiving. They are a gift to us and their investment – before, during, and after this crisis – is what keeps our mission alive and strong – thank you!

Second, living and working in the United States, a country where there are safety nets.

On April 15th, 2020, over 80 million people received direct deposits as part of the COVID-19 Stimulus Act, and there is more support on its way. Financial experts are weighing in on the best way to use the money and most include donating to charity as one of them.

Of course, we all must be wise and good stewards with our finances and use those funds to support our families and business. This includes avoiding debt, having an emergency fund, and planning for the unexpected. That said, giving to charity, giving back, helping to make our world better is another way to keep engaged, hopeful, and vested. Helping the most vulnerable around the world and here at home is what Impact Global Health Alliance Global has done for 38 years.

Lastly, serving the most vulnerable.

Lives depend on us. Impact Global Health Alliance Global is the safety net for entire communities. Even in a time of such a financial crisis, we must continue to serve those who are forgotten, those whose lives are at risk. Here and abroad, there are thousands of women and children in desperate need to access life-saving education, programming, and medical care.

Due to the Coronavirus and the downturn in the economy, our needs have also increased. Our global infrastructure of health workers is on the front lines, fighting the Coronavirus with supplies, support, and lifesaving information. Here at home, we are partnering alongside the Guatemalan Consulate of North Carolina to connect local Latinos to the resources and allies they need during this time. The list goes on.

The opportunity: be the one to help us move our mission forward, despite the uncertain times.

Therefore, if you have enough resources, donate to Impact Global Health Alliance Global today so we can bring hope through healing to those that need it most. By investing in our cause now, you will help us be the safety net for those whose lives depend on us to flatten the Coronavirus curve.

Thank you for stepping up and helping us get through this time of extreme need.
