In May 2011, USAID (the United States Agency for International Development) and World Learning awarded Impact Global Health Alliance Global the "Community-Based Family Planning Intervention" for integration into our Nehnwaa Child Survival Project in Liberia.  The project focuses on increasing knowledge and awareness on what family planning is, the importance of family planning, and the locations where one can access family planning commodities.

Now that we are in January 2012, I can hardly believe we are at the midterm of the project!  Because of this, I traveled to Ganta to aid in training and implementation of the Flex Fund Survey.  By conducting the Flex Fund Survey, we are able to gather key data on our indicators so that we understand where we are succeeding and where improvement is needed in our activities halfway through the project.  The dedicated Nehnwaa team set out on this quest to complete the survey in four days and did so wonderfully.  I am happy to report that preliminary data analysis is showing very positive findings – I do not want to reveal too much yet but I cannot wait to unveil the final numbers!
