Bob and Susan have supported Impact Global Health Alliance Global since 1999. Their passion for Impact Global Health Alliance Global stems from the life and work of Bob’s grandfather, Frank S. Beck. Dr. Beck was one of the first missionaries to Bolivia in 1912 and worked alongside some of Impact Global Health Alliance Global’s founding members to build a hospital and nursing school to provide healthcare to Bolivians when there were no other options. Today Bob and Susan Knowles continue to support the health of mother and children in need as Impact Global Health Alliance Sustainers .
“We were first drawn to Impact Global Health Alliance Global when it was Andean Rural Health Care due to its support of the clinics in Bolivia. Impact Global Health Alliance is doing the work that we want done, it is not wasting money on high administrative or fundraising costs. Our donation is put to use providing for those in need.
It is our good fortune in life to be able to share with those in need, and we believe that Impact Global Health Alliance Global is the best way to do it. We are frugal people and know that Impact Global Health Alliance Global makes the most from every dollar we donate. We chose to sign up for recurring donations because it is an easy way for us to spread out our annual donation goal and it helps Impact Global Health Alliance to have a steady stream of income. We would not hesitate to recommend Impact Global Health Alliance Global as charitable organization. Our dollars help support those who can extend a helping hand to provide healthcare and teach others how to care for themselves.”

How did you first learn about Impact Global Health Alliance?
Bob’s cousin, Bindy Beck –Meyer, traveled to Bolivia where she learned about the work Impact Global Health Alliance was providing which followed up the work done by Bessie & Doctor Beck.
How long have you been involved?
We have been making donations to support the work in Bolivia since 1999.
What’s one of your favorite memories of working with Impact Global Health Alliance Global?
We enjoyed getting the chance to meet with Andrew Herrera and hearing about Impact Global Health Alliance. The newsletters we receive tell a compelling story of healthcare services provided through the good work done by Impact Global Health Alliance. Over the years we have had contact with previous directors of the organization via email, telephone and holiday cards but meeting with Andrew was an opportunity to learn more about the organization’s applying for and receiving grants for various projects to provide healthcare.
Why do you support Impact Global Health Alliance Global as opposed to other groups working in global health and development?
We were first drawn to Impact Global Health Alliance when it was Andean Rural Health due to its support of the clinics in Bolivia. It was Bob’s good luck to have been born in La Paz to Miriam Beck daughter of Frank S Beck. Miriam, returned to Bolivia and started the nursing school in La Paz after becoming a registered nurse in the United States. Her mother, Bessie Beck, was the hospital administrator and her father, Dr. Beck, provided medical services.
Why are reoccurring donations your way of giving?
Reoccurring donations are smaller amounts coming out of our monthly income. It is an easy way for us to spread out our annual donation goal and it helps Impact Global Health Alliance to have a steady stream of income. It was easy to set up a regular transfer from our checking account.
